I recently discovered SoundCloud, a new start up from Berlin. Although I’m still looking for an invite (anyone?), a quick tour of their site left me wanting more!
Basically, SoundCloud is a feature-rich alternative to sharing music with the likes of YouSendIt.com or SendSpace.com. In addition, it has a social network side where you can interact with listeners as they leave feedback and comments on your music.
SoundClound allows you to upload your music (in any format or bitrate) and send it to a select few or a specified list. In addition, you can add meta data and artwork, etc. It seems to have a lot of possibilities and options!
I’d be interested to see how SoundCloud stands up as a promtion tool for my label, Neuroscience Recordings. From the stuff I’ve read so far, it might just be the ideal platform for me.
